Bret Colhouer

CEO & CO-FOUNDER

As founder of Simply Clear Marketing, Bret Colhouer has been in the media industry for more than 10 years and is passionate about being a resource for the community. He launched the publishing division in 2004 with the Coast News, and bought the Bay News shortly after.  He moved to San Luis Obispo 25 years ago immediately falling in love with the area, its people and the culture.

Lani Colhouer

CFO & CO-FOUNDER

As a founder of Simply Clear Marketing, Inc., Lani Colhouer is passionate about marketing and events. She was raised in the San Luis Obispo County and loves the area. Her background includes event management, advertising, marketing and sales, and exhibiting at international trade shows. She loves to work with small businesses and help them grow.

david diaz

CTO & CO-FOUNDER

David Diaz is a founding owner & partner of the digital division for Simply Clear Marketing. David is a longtime local having grown up in Atascadero since 1972 and now lives in Nipomo with his family. He is a consummate entrepreneur who has worn many hats over the years from owning a Coffee Shop to creating his own Farmers Markets. He likes to spend time with his wife and 5 children (all girls), golf, ride motorcycles and snow ski as much as possible.

Sales & Marketing Director

Jessica has been with Simply Clear Marketing & Media since 2009 as a Sales and Marketing Director. She graduated from Cal Poly in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing Management. Jessica has a passion for community outreach and has volunteered with the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County, Georgia Brown Elementary School, Habitat for Humanity, various local homeless shelters, and is always looking for more opportunities to help the local community. In her free time, she enjoys the active lifestyle. Some of her favorite activities are skiing, running, and hiking.

Senior Advertising Executive

Dana McGraw is the Senior Advertising Executive at Simply Clear Marketing & Media. Prior experience Dana has includes managing other publications such as the Atascadero News & California Horse Trader. With over 10 years of sales experience, she is confident that she can help your business get results and succeed! Originally from Ojai, CA, Dana moved to San Luis Obispo County in 2003, and started a family a few years later. She loves spending time with her family, friends and riding horses!

Operations & Events Manager

Operations & Event Manager—Tolosa Press & SCMIKelley has been with Simply Clear Marketing since December of 2009 as the Administrative Event Manager. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2005 with a BA in Speech Communication with a minor in Advertising. Since then she has been working in advertising and marketing and enjoys working with clients and making sure all of their needs are met. In her free time she enjoys hiking, camping, wine tasting, and taking her dogs to the beach.

tina mitchell

Controller & Sales Assistant

Tina Mitchell is a true local to SLO, born and raised in San Luis Obispo County! She has spent the last 10 years refining her processes in Administrative Services at the City of Paso Robles. She recently changed careers to explore the private sector and is enjoying her position at Simply Clear Marketing as Controller and Sales Assistant. She is utilizing her Bachelors in Accounting and knowledge from the Administrative Services Department as well as her friendly personality to prosper in a position that assists the company in accounting and lead generation. She is passionate about the health industry especially but has found it incredibly fulfilling to help small businesses grow and prosper by educating the community about their specialties. Tina enjoys living on the central coast where we are close to the beach but not far from the mountains. She spends her weekends at music festivals, hiking and exploring, and taking her dogs to the beach.

Digital Team Lead

Mike comes to Simply Clear Marketing & Media with 20 years of sales and marketing experience. For 12 years he ran a local Integrated Marketing firm with his wife Pamela. Fluent in web development and online marketing as well as traditional channels Mike has a deep understanding of the marketing mix and uses his perspective to the benefit of each client. While attending Cuesta College he earned the rare Web Development Technologies Certification and served on the advisory board for that program. Mike likes to work with each client as if he were a “partner in their business.” A resident of the Central Coast for over thirty years Mike loves many of the outdoor activities that it has to offer.

Advertising Executive

Carrie Vickerman is an Advertising Account Executive for Simply Clear Marketing & Media, and loves living on the Central Coast! She graduated with honors from Cal Poly with a B.A. in Theatre and Performing Arts. Carrie has worked in the advertising industry since 2006 in multiple fields, including Radio and the Internet. When she’s not helping businesses connect with the community, she enjoys playing on a local Softball team and writing plays.

Business Reporter

Mark Diaz is a business reporter for Simply Clear Marketing & Media. He primarily writes for Avila Beach News, Coast News, and SLO County Business Matters. He posts business news daily to slocountybuisnessmatters.com that relevant to the central coast business community. After being raised in San Luis Obispo county, Mark spent almost a decade living in Washington D.C., as well as, two years living abroad. Mark has recently returned to his hometown of Atascadero with his exuberant son Donovan and his truly amazing wife Christy. Always the avid writer, Mark is honored to report fair and unbiased news to the central coast.

Jamie Andreozzi

Art Director

As a graphic designer with 10+ years experience, Jamie is dedicated to each project with the ability to intuitively create designs that are ‘spot on’ what the client envisioned. When she’s not busy creating, you can find her drawing or spending time with her fiance, two children and fur children. Her creative team brings three publications to you biweekly.

Executive Editor

Theresa-Marie Wilson was instrumental in starting the Coast News in 2004 and remained managing editor until 2017 when she was promoted to executive editor of the media division for Simply Clear Marketing. In that capacity, she is part of the creative team leads the direction of the company’s print magazines, Living Lavishly, Inspired Health, and Reveal the Central Coast as well as the digital SLO County Business Matters. She also serves as a consultant for advertising campaigns. In her free time, T, as most people know her, takes far too many photos of her cats for her humorous blog, CatNoirCC.com dedicated to increasing adoption rates for black cats that often face high kill rates in shelters.

Web Designer

Leah has been designing websites and graphics since the days of Angelfire in the early 2000's. Her passion for music, art and design are apparent in her work, where she is constantly trying to think outside the box.  When Leah is not busy creating websites, you can find her hanging at the beach or skatepark with her kiddos.  You can also find her thrifting or painting in her free time.  She runs her own digital vintage shop and Etsy store, where she combines her love of antiques, painting and design, into one big collection of beautiful treasures.  Check out losangelesmuse.com for vintage goodies.

MANAGING EDITOR OF THE BAY NEWS & SLO CITY NEWS

Neil Farrell is Managing Editor of The Bay News and a 22-year veteran reporter and editor in the Estero Bay Area — Morro Bay, Los Osos and Cayucos. He’s a six-time California Newspaper Publishers Association Better Newspaper Award winner for Spot News Reporting (twice), Sports Feature Writing; Community Service (twice), Enterprise Reporting; and Criticism Writing. Originally from Los Baños, Calif., Neil is a graduate of Cuesta College and attended Cal Poly. He started his community journalism career on April Fool’s Day 1992 with the Sun Bulletin and worked with the Tribune/Sun Bulletin until January 2004. He started with The Bay News in February 2004 when the newspaper first went to a weekly edition. He is married to wife, Lorraine, and they live in a second-story apartment in Morro Bay with a lovely view of Morro Rock. Life is good.

Web & Editorial Designer

Christi has been designing for over 8 years, and has worked as a senior designer for many local and Los Angeles based companies, including her own. Style, color, and typography are very important to her, as she utilizes these assets in all of her work. In her spare time she enjoys creating art in any form, and especially favors acrylic painting with pastel illustration. She is also an avid traveler, entrepreneur, disc golf player, and animal lover.

Administrative Marketing Assistant

Madeline Minas joined the Simply Clear Marketing & Media team shortly after graduating from Cal Poly in 2018. She received a BS in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Dance. Madeline cares about the foundation and potential for mutually-beneficial relationships between people, businesses and the publics they serve. In her free time, she enjoys connecting the community with the arts by instructing dance classes to children and adults across SLO County!
